AFTER CARE
-
HOW LONG DO I HAVE TO KEEP THE SECOND SKIN ON?Keep the second skin on for the next 24h. We suggest that you take the second skin off with some warm water or in shower. However, if the skin should react irritated or allergic to the second skin, please peel off carefully directly under running water and wash off the tattoo or the skin area afterwards.
-
THINGS YOU SHOULD NOT DO IN THE FIRST 4 WEEKSDo not use SPF on your tattoo until your tattoo is completely healed. Do not scratch or pick at the tattoo. Do not wear too tight clothing over the tattoo since it can scratch while moving. Do not go swimming or immerse your body in water. (Showers are completely fine)
-
WHAT TO DO WHEN THE TATTOO STARTS TO SCAB?Tattoos in the process of healing form scabs and itch for some time. The scab falls off by itself and in no case scratch, as this immensely affects the quality of healing.
-
HOW LONG DO I HAVE TO KEEP THE PLASTIC WARP?Keep it for the next 3h - 4h, then you can wash your tattoo gently with warm water (we also suggest PH free soap).
-
HOW LONG DOES THE HEALING PROCESS TAKE?Healing period might take around 3 - 5 weeks depending on the size, details and placement. Bigger tattoos (long session tattoos) might take some extra days.
-
USING THE CREAM PROPERLYApply a small amount of cream to the tattoo. Do not cover your tattoo with plastic wrap again. Do not use Vaseline or Bepanthen - we recommend proper tattoo cream. The tattoo should be creamed 2-3 times a day. Creaming can be reduced by once a week.
-
WHEN CAN I SHOWER?You can shower from the session day, but no bathing and keep your shower time to a minimum during the healing period.
-
CHECK-UP & TOUCH-UPAfter 3-4 weeks, you are welcome to send one or more photos (please in natural light and good quality) to info@modustudio.de for review. If there is a need for a touch-up after the review, an appointment can be made afterwards.
-
WHAT CLOTHING YOU SHOULD WEARWhile your tattoo heals, we suggest that you wear long clothing & not too tight ones, so your fresh tattoo can breathe and also avoid direct sunlight.
